Steve Cox became interested in people’s psychological health as a result of his own experiences of the UK mental health system. In his late teens he experienced high doses of first generation neuroleptic drugs and electroconvulsive therapy. Realising that his distress had been compounded by pathology and psychiatric treatment he sought healthy alternative help. Person-centred therapy facilitated his journey towards health and growth. Subsequently, Steve has been a person-centred psychotherapist for past 28 years. He has a deep interest in all things connected to people’s development. His practise and academic attention is focused upon the interconnection between ‘me’, ‘you’, ‘us’ and ‘world’.
