The conversation reminds me of 5 years ago when I would be signing up voters during the Farmers’ Mkt days. I was surprised at a recurring response that they don’t vote or sign up because they believe there is a connection to their money or their sources of discounts or income…so I never got the details but it happened multiple times. Know I signed up as an Independent at one location and then I was forced to choose a party identity at another location. We lose people on the way. And then the vote that matters seems to be decided by forces who speak and a decision about the winner was decided before the votes are counted. Discouraging..
