I was born in 1969 in Strasbourg, in the east of France.

As a schoolboy I visited WWI battlefields, memorials and cemeteries in Verdun, and WWII concentration camp named “Le Struthof” in the east of France.

I lost both legs to frostbite in January 1989. I recovered gradually, quit smoking in 2000, learned to swim, met Annie in 2005, and here I am!
