For over ten years, solutions to the multiple crises have been emerging outside of the current system. Not just one, but many ‘next economies’ are taking shape around the world, each responding to a different aspect of the complex problems we face.
- They describe themselves in various ways, including circular, regenerative, doughnut, well-being economies, buen vivir, and thrivability.
- Each has proven seeds of practice to help us ‘bounce beyond’ the multiple crises we face. Each is developing within a specific context, however, and they have yet to cross pollinate and amplify their impact to bounce beyond with scale.
