In the first three decades of the 20th century, he gave away $550 million, and he wanted half of his donations to go to homeopathic organizations, institutions, and medical schools. However, not a penny was sent. How and why did this happen? And concurrently, the ad revenue of the Journal of the American Medical Association was only $34.000 in 1900 and up to $150,000 by 1909. What collaboration with drug companies and the AMA occurred?
