• Carey Gillam is a Kansas girl, of the heart and home. But her research has taken her throughout rural America. She has spent time with row crop farmers, ranchers, vegetable growers and orchard operators from the Dakotas to Texas, and from California to the Southeast. She has been welcomed inside the high-tech laboratories, greenhouses and corporate offices of some of the largest U.S. agribusinesses. And she has spent countless hours interviewing key U.S. regulators, lawmakers, and scientists. With years of this behind-the-scenes reporting, Gillam has developed deep insight into the risks and rewards of the modern-day food system, and hopes to share that knowledge with others who care about the food they eat and feed to their families. Carey is an award winning journalist and the author of “The Monsanto Papers: Deadly Secrets, Corporate Corruption, and One Man’s Search for Justice”.

In coping with and curing my own illness through diet change and vitamin replenishment, I spent years studying intestinal permeability, the microbiome and toxins. The mechanisms by which so many family and friends have fallen ill can often be traced to a similar cause. With the very recent advancement in science, we can better understand how glyphosate and other toxins are crushing our guts and causing an explosion of disease.

I'm writing on behalf of all those who are chronically sick, fatigued, depressed, anxious, cancer-ridden, hormonally off, coping with allergies, suffering with pain, digestively wrecked, and accidentally dependent on multiple medications. We deserve to know the truth about how Roundup has made us a devastatingly sick population.

Despite what some may assume, I am politically independent and not anti-corporation. I am, however, an environmental health writer who is anti-poison, anti-despicable behavior, and doesn't enjoy feeling sick. My employment experience includes investment banking, private equity, quantitative equity research, technology commercialization at NASA, and US Space Camp instructor.

I have a BA from Dartmouth College, an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business with a focus in Healthcare Public Policy, and completed training in Integrative Health Coaching at Duke Integrative Medicine.
