Karen has a Bachelors in Administration of Justice and a Masters in Criminology. She is a Mediator with experience training high schoolers in peer-based mediation. Karen has worked with Communities Organized for Public Service in San Antonio doing community organizing. Karen taught as an adjunct professor Civic Engagement and Social Action. Currently, Karen is an ambassador for Compassionate San Antonio, supports the Charter for Compassion, and serves as chair of Pax Christi San Antonio.
