Jinan K B is an Indian educator who has spent decades seeking to transform the educational system in India in his home province of Kerala. He spent many years living with illiterate tribal communities and discovered that being illiterate actually allows for a holistic embodied form of learning. Literacy pushes people into their heads. After years of experimentation and reflection, he has concluded that only a return to an indigenous form of learning will suffice to enable India’s children to grow and prosper.
