   This was the question I wanted to place for our presenters today: In covering climate change, especially CO2 and methane emissions, the legacy media ignores the elephant in the room --  war-making.  Military vehicles are famously gas-guzzlers – whether training or deployed. Jets to ferry equipment, wounded, and bomb have tremendous impact.  High-atmosphere surveillance aircraft are particularly damaging. There’s no metric that I know of to quantify missiles and bombing’s impact on the atmosphere.    

       The US successfully lobbied the Kyoto COP to not have to report or consider military emissions in.   

        Is any body tracking the actual rise in emissions since the Russian invasion of Ukraine?

   Mary- The shift from a “you or me” world to “you and me” world is the job we have. Our species is designed for a you-or me world, so we need to create language and social structures that remind us “you and me”.

McGilchrist provides an in-depth discussion of how a growing dominance of left hemisphere neural processing biases our perception and consciousness towards a separatist mode that promotes the ongoing ecological catastrophe.

   -    Oft said, ‘One does not solve a problem using the same intelligence as created it.’. One suggestion for progressing/improving the applied intelligence is that we consider leaders to be of two types:

   -    Type One – Limited Leaders -Leaders limited to leading by applying limited values.

   -    Type Two – Full Leadership – Leaders leading by applying a full values set.

   -    The full values set might comprise: Underpinning Values [trust/honesty/transparency/ /etc.], Living Values [peace/non-violence/respect/ownership], Earth Values [Non & Anti--ecocide/Sustainability/repair and long-term protection], and application of the the Cautionary Principle.

   We need to sunset the Type-One Leaders, and have Type Two leaders include a responsibility to undo damages already done.
