Today we want to contemplate the life and visionary work of '''Herman Hesse,''' German writer and Nobel Prize winner for Literature in 1946 for his humanitarian vision. We will dialogue with Hesse scholar Ludwig Max Fischer, Ph.D. who has written two books on Hesse and numerous articles, also about Rainer Maria Rilke, another German writer and poet of the early 20th century. Ludwig taught German literature, intercultural communication and comparative mythologyfor over thirty years at several universities, and published academic books and wrote articles in professional journals. Beyond his career as a teacher and scholar, he studied in depth the history of natural healing methods and tookmany seminars at Esalen, Findhorn, and Breitenbush, and is involved in the holistic, ecological movement. Today we want to contemplate the life and visionary work of Herman Hesse, German writer and Nobel Prize winner for Literature in 1946 for his humanitarian vision.
