I was with Philip Carr-Gomm when he was the Chosen Chief of OBOD (the world's leading Druid society). It was in western NY and my son and I created a labyrinth, with all the poles arranged, I gave a presentation on earth's polarity, the magnetic fields (especially in certain areas, with major rivers underneath) and the effect of water flowing under and how so many are sacred sites. There is the old proof where men and women have metal objects spin different directions until they join hands and connect. The same is true of the brain. It was profound and had an effect on people. Later I went to Damanhur, which has various labyrinths for different things from easing psychos, to to healing breathing disorders. We are all connected to earth's magnetic field.

I believe that we have allowed science and technology to separate, diminish and isolate us from the synergy of nature (as well as the opposite). Instead of a tool to be used, we have been enslaved to it. We may have waken the dragon that we cannot control and use with benevolence and equanimity. Just because ican, does not mean I should. We have this amazing tool and have not grown the wisdom, connection to below and above, nor do we have the moral rudder to navigate the interconnected complexity. We need the ancient connections of the indigenous cultures, connection to Gaia, our ancestors and spirit. It is my belief that by breaking things down and isolating the factors to be studied, we have diminishing our greater experience. Open to looking at my own thoughts, beliefs, projections, judgments, attachments and growth -Musa

A few words that relate to this topic from the Dalai Lama. Modern science and medicine have made immeasurable contributions to humanity by improving our quality of life. However, like any instrument, science can be put to good use or bad. It is the motivation of the person wielding the instrument that determines whether it is put to constructive use, or whether the result will be damaging. For me, as a Buddhist, the most effective positive motivation is compassion. My hope is that during the 21st century, science will be increasingly guided by compassion and a commitment to enhancing the welfare, health and happiness of all sentient beings.

The scientific method seems to be designed to help us understand how things function, as filtered through our perceptions. But science tends to fail to tell us how things are, the intrinsic nature of things. Science gives us facts, rather than values. The belief that only science can provide a view of reality and generate truth, “scientism,” is a merely a dogma.

I'm reading (again) The Structure of Religious Experience by John Macmurray, 1936. The Scottish philosopher describes three fields (attitudes) to organize universal human experience: scientific, artistic, and religious. "the field of religion is the field of personal relations... religious reflection starts... [with] the reciprocity or mutuality of these. Its problem is the problem of communion or community. Religion is about fellowship and community, which are facts of direct, universal human experience....this religious field is more ultimate than either the field of art or the field of science....and combines the [other] two attitudes."

Foundations of community are so essential. In Africa - the Zulu have wisdom to offer - the term - Ubuntu. This can best be described as a philosophy that places emphasis on ‘being self through others’. It is a form of
humanism which can be expressed in the phrases "I am because of who we all are" and ubuntu ngumuntu ngabantu in Zulu language.
16:18:42 From Paul Hillery to Everyone:
I think the ancient people felt protected by their individual gods they gave homage to. Different gods for different issues/ spiritualities. Modern psychology is good, but does not include so much.

Gregg, as I've said before I think it has to do with the misunderstanding of Darwin and focus on SURVIVAL OF THE FITTESS so being human is a "weakness".
16:26:12 From Lion Goodman to Everyone:
I agree, Pau. Darwin mentioned cooperation more often than he did competition. Later, other took his “survival of the fittest” and left out all of his points and evidence for cooperation between individuals and species.

Hope you could support our theatre-film collaboration, Wor(L)d Of My Bodies or WOMB. In a world rife with intersectional violence against workers, women, minorities, and the planet, WOMB is a tender affirmation of the intersections between body, home, and ecology. 15:01:52 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:
This morning's session was exceptional! Thank you.
15:02:46 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Everyone:
This is session 2 of Day 363 of Humanity Rising.
15:08:42 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Host and Panelists:
Rick, The live stream is not on YouTube or Facebook. If I'm wrong, please send a link to the proper stream.
15:11:51 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:
Wow! Awesome panel!
15:13:00 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Everyone:
Hello everyone... it seems that the live stream is not available on YouTube for this presentation as it usually is.
15:15:24 From Humanity Rising to Stanley Pokras Pokras, Host and Panelists:
We are working to fix the problem.
15:17:37 From Myra L JACKSON JACKSON to Everyone:
Hoping that we can draw more broadly. There is value in what came before Greek civilization.
15:18:00 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:
Question: What is the biggest transformation “Ego” must take for Nature to usher in the “Awakened Dreaming Dragon”, so to speak?
15:26:14 From Stanley Pokras Pokras to Host and Panelists:
Rick, The lifestream on YouTube looks like it's trying to get started. It now says "Waiting for Ubiquity University at 3:24 PM
15:28:00 From Humanity Rising to Stanley Pokras(Direct Message):
Thanks Stanley. I will post the recordings on Youtube and Facebook when we are done.
15:28:55 From Stanley Pokras to Humanity Rising(Direct Message):

15:32:09 From Helen Wrigglesworth to Host and Panelists:
Isolate icarus
15:33:30 From Helen Wrigglesworth to Host and Panelists:
Heart field of the horizon
15:33:32 From Paul Hillery to Everyone:
15:34:12 From Musa Kalaora to Everyone:
15:36:29 From Helen Wrigglesworth to Host and Panelists:
Music is counciousness
15:37:04 From Mark Landau to Everyone:
Has anyone here read The Ringing Cedars of Russia books?
15:37:19 From richard hobbs to Host and Panelists:
“The one thing that can solve most of our problems is dancing. …” ~ James Brown
15:37:29 From Stanley Pokras to Everyone:
Helen, if you want all of the people watching to see your comments, set the blue button at the bottom of the chat box to "Everyone."
15:37:32 From Helen Wrigglesworth to Host and Panelists:
Hitch a ride on music and don’t let it sink
15:37:45 From Anthony Monticchio to Everyone:
A few words that relate to this topic from the Dalai Lama. Modern science and medicine have made immeasurable contributions to humanity by improving our quality of life. However, like any instrument, science can be put to good use or bad. It is the motivation of the person wielding the instrument that determines whether it is put to constructive use, or whether the result will be damaging. For me, as a Buddhist, the most effective positive motivation is compassion. My hope is that during the 21st century, science will be increasingly guided by compassion and a commitment to enhancing the welfare, health and happiness of all sentient beings.
15:38:06 From Paul Hillery to Everyone:
My grandfather is Irish, my grandmother (on my mother's side) is Native Amnerican.
15:38:23 From Lion Goodman to Everyone:
Thank you, Musa. Join me tomorrow for my 8:00 am PT presentation here, in The Masculine Dialogues, “Breaking Free of the Man Box.” We will discuss how to get out of that separation and back to our wholeness.
15:38:40 From Helen Wrigglesworth to Host and Panelists:
Individuals are just essences
15:39:29 From Helen Wrigglesworth to Host and Panelists:
One has to do the work on themselves first
15:40:06 From Paul Hillery to Everyone:
Chant, Dance, Mantra, then song is the medicine of the shaman. It should never be lost or we are all lost.
15:42:18 From Anthony Monticchio to Everyone:
It’s a paradox to me.. tech has given us the most connection we have ever had on this planet… but many still find ourselves isolated and lonely… this gathering would not be possible without all the advancements with tech… just a reminder :)
15:42:52 From Paul Hillery to Everyone:
My wife and I spent time at Chartres in July, Just walking those levels is a rite in it's self.
15:42:57 From Maureen Chester to Everyone:

15:43:35 From Maureen Chester to Everyone:
Dveirin
15:44:20 From richard hobbs to Everyone:
The scientific method seems to be designed to help us understand how things function, as filtered through our perceptions. But science tends to fail to tell us how things are, the intrinsic nature of things. Science gives us facts, rather than values. The belief that only science can provide a view of reality and generate truth, “scientism,” is a merely a dogma.
15:44:34 From Larry Cashion to Everyone:
we return by shedding the constructs of belief generated by minds temporal deductions of a moment, and embracing that the mind is only a processor and that the body is a vessel of God/Consciousness experiencing itself and that we are One with that experience...
15:45:10 From D Rieders to Host and Panelists:
who do the panelists believe we truly are?
15:45:11 From Helen Wrigglesworth to Host and Panelists:
Faith withstands all
15:47:14 From Musa Kalaora to Everyone:
In tribal cultures, when one strayed from their authentic selves (caused harm to self or others), the village would sing them back to thefold, to re-member who they are.
15:47:19 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:
The Soul has been sold…how do we return to the ancients pastime of singing & dancing, Creativity in full encompassing capacity NOW?
15:47:45 From Cathy DeForest to Everyone:
I have shared this webinar with several Black leaders that I partner with. I am hoping this series will talk about masculinity specifically. We are working with Black and Brown youth and want specific ideas ( not so much theories) how to help these underserved youth navigate their masculine territory in such challenging times.
15:47:50 From Helen Wrigglesworth to Host and Panelists:
REPEL
15:48:15 From Musa Kalaora to Everyone:
When someone was troubled/depressed, the questions asked would be, "when did you stop singing, when dd you stop dancing?"
15:48:31 From D Rieders to Host and Panelists:
polyvagal theory has three systems at least
15:48:34 From Leo Jacoby to Everyone:
I'm reading (again) The Structure of Religious Experience by John Macmurray, 1936. The Scottish philosopher describes three fields (attitudes) to organize universal human experience: scientific, artistic, and religious. "the field of religion is the field of personal relations... religious reflection starts... [with] the reciprocity or mutuality of these. Its problem is the problem of communion or community. Religion is about fellowship and community, which are facts of direct, universal human experience....this religious field is more ultimate than either the field of art or the field of science....and combines the [other] two attitudes."
Soul and consciousness and heart have to do with relationship whereby we are not alienated.
15:48:47 From Dehanna Rice to Everyone:
The poly-vagal theory is about safety & bonding…

When we are happier, we are more successful, healthier, and less troublesome = more peace in our world. Feel free to share this with friends and others.
See Shaun Achor's Happiness Advantage, a 12 minute TED.com talk. You probably already do a few of the practices - just add the others. I designed an elective course at Van Nuys Middle School which students were still doing the Homework assignment, a few years later!
The initial assignment is:
Laugh for at least 30 seconds straight each day... See how that feels. Tightens the abs for a flatter rather than fatter tummy. Let me know what you think about it all.
Happy - Pharrell Williams (vegan animalherokids.org), ::https://bit.ly/happyveganworldHope:: you stay well. When you get the benefits from this, share it with others!

Take 8 minutes of your life to experience a powerful expression on LOVE. ::http://www.filmsforaction.org/watch/human::
One learned from a parent and the other from the most unexpected source you’d probably ever image could teach it. View the first 8 minutes and get back to if the last statement is incorrect.
Forgiving the Unforgivable is also the first of The Four Sacred Gifts, a great book by an indigenous elder, Anita Sanchez.
LOVE and helpfulness work wonders... When you “work it”… Start practicing this PeaceMaker Meditation practice that can greatly help: . ::https://youtu.be/vv1VxDv80wo::. 16:13:32 From Kala (Tat tvam Asi) to Everyone:
What Michael just shared is soooo central: We are all carrying the open wound of killing our planet and our fellow human and other living beings with how we are living here now in this Earth. How do we conjure the power to wholly transform the tragedy of our human civilization
16:15:07 From Lion Goodman to Everyone:
Our 8th and 9th panel look into man’s relationship to the world and man’s relationship to the natural world. Please join us for those panels. Thursday and Friday.
16:16:21 From Musa Kalaora to Everyone:
returning to our ancestral ways, returning to our village where we make choices that takes into account the next seven generations?
16:17:14 From Karmen to Everyone:
yes, we all need compassion for ourselves.
16:17:46 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:
Foundations of community are so essential. In Africa - the Zulu have wisdom to offer - the term - Ubuntu. This can best be described as a philosophy that places emphasis on ‘being self through others’. It is a form of
humanism which can be expressed in the phrases "I am because of who we all are" and ubuntu ngumuntu ngabantu in Zulu language.
16:18:42 From Paul Hillery to Everyone:
I think the ancient people felt protected by their individual gods they gave homage to. Different gods for different issues/ spiritualities. Modern psychology is good, but does not include so much.
16:18:43 From Deborah Mitchell to Host and Panelists:
Simply having You ALL coming together in THIS way— IS elevating Thee Vibration for us ALL-! THNAK YOU!!!
16:18:59 From Larry Cashion to Everyone:
We are all a part of the spark that is God/Consciousness experiencing its self. We are a vessel of God in One. Attempting to release belief constructed as identity and live perhaps then, out of Identity and with a sense of We-dentity
16:20:04 From Lion Goodman to Everyone:
These are all excellent comments. Please join the after-session chat so we can speak with each other and take the discussion deeper. The link is above.
16:20:46 From Lion Goodman to Everyone:
Larry C: Check out my work at www.ClearBeliefs.com. It’s exactly what you are pointing too.
16:21:08 From richard hobbs to Everyone:
In US culture, we tend to focus on “graduation,” and ending, rather than “initiation,” a beginning.
16:22:27 From Paul Hillery to Everyone:
Good point, Richard Hobbs.
16:23:00 From Kurt Krueger, SuccessSystemsInternational.net to Everyone:
We get to use Cooperative Game activities, like described in Silver Bullets, and experienced through Project Adventure activities, and Positive Coaching Alliance, etc.
16:23:37 From Jakub Drobilík to Everyone:
good point indeed, and in other places as well. I would add "the journey itself"
16:23:46 From Caitlin Mary Hamlett to Everyone:
We need elders our young people need wise elders the suicide rate is soaring we all have a responsibility in that
16:24:07 From Rita Marsh to Everyone:
David Sloan Wilson's work on Altruism...
16:24:54 From Paul Hillery to Everyone:
Gregg, as I've said before I think it has to do with the misunderstanding of Darwin and focus on SURVIVAL OF THE FITTESS so being human is a "weakness".
16:26:12 From Lion Goodman to Everyone:
I agree, Pau. Darwin mentioned cooperation more often than he did competition. Later, other took his “survival of the fittest” and left out all of his points and evidence for cooperation between individuals and species.
16:26:18 From Stanley Pokras to Everyone:
Gentlemen, Kerpotkin pointed out that Mutual Aid is a characteristic of many successful species. From that I believe that we are now struggling to break out into a society where people take care of others as a principal that we take hold as we enter the Age of Helpfulness.
16:26:18 From Deborah Mitchell to Host and Panelists:
Looove “We are in a ‘Collective-Rite-Of-Passage’…”
16:27:44 From Larry Cashion to Everyone:
