Michael Sussman began his career in transportation in 1994 by launching Strategic Rail Finance, advising government and businesses on strategies to improve capital investment in freight infrastructure and industrial systems. His commonsense message, based in whole-systems thinking, resonates across political and geographic spectrums. In 2007, Michael founded OnTrackNorthAmerica, an NGO dedicated to sustainable supply chain planning. OnTrackNorthAmerica is currently advancing the North American Freight Forum, a breakthrough institutional model for public and private sector stakeholders to co-create plans, policies, and investments that serve the common good. Over the past nine months, OTNA has recently convened hundreds of stakeholders in New Mexico to co-create the National Sustainable Forestry Business Plan, a forest-to-market strategy for harvesting, logistics, and processing that enhances regional collaboration and local economic development. Michael will discuss IntelliSynthesis, the convening methodology that enables a higher level of collective intelligence for breakthrough results.
