			'''[[Stuart Sender]]''' is a writer filmmaker, showrunner and teacher whose work has been nominated for two Academy Awards for best documentary (Prisoner of Paradise and The Garden) and won Emmy Awards and a Polk Award for Excellence in Journalism. Most recently, Stuart was Co-Executive Producer of two series for Netflix: Meltdown, Three Mile Island, a four-episode series about the role of whistleblowers in exposing the worst nuclear accident in U.S. history; and the Emmy winning music series Remastered. Stuart’s work includes a focus on global climate change. He was a producer for the Showtime climate series Years of Living Dangerously, winner of an Emmy for best non-fiction series. He is Executive Producer of The Garden, an Oscar-nominated documentary that looks at issues of environmental justice at the country’s largest urban garden in South Central Los Angeles. And his film HARMONY, a primetime special for NBC, explores solutions to the global economic and environmental crisis. He also teaches Science, Environment and Technology reporting at the University of Southern California. A career and life highlight was producing and directing the first exclusive interview with Nelson Mandela following his release from prison.
