Jousch Andris BARBLAN , Swiss national (1943), was educated in English and History at he University of Lausanne and received a PhD in political Science in Geneva in 1973. First youth secretary for Europe and Asia of the World Council of Churches (1968-71), he was then Denis de Rougemont’s assistant at the Centre européen de la culture (Geneva) (1973-1976) before becoming Secretary General of the CRE, Association of European Universities (1976-2001) and of its successor, EUA, the European University Association (2001-2002). Since then until December 2007, he was Secretary General of the Magna Charta Observatory on the Universities’ Fundamental Values and Rights, Bologna; he also consulted the Mario Boella Institute, Turin, on knowledge development strategies in European cities and took part in the quality evaluation of some 20 universities in wider Europe, the Middle East and South Africa. Now retired in Geneva.

In 1989 I met Irene Lutz and Marion Hoensbroech in Türnich near Cologne. Irene wanted to develop a method for healing sick forests at a distance and at scale. For twenty-five years she had had a large practice as a natural healer in Frankfurt and knew like no other the possibilities of working with life energy. Her friend Marion “Countess” Hoensbroech provided the financing and the contacts. There was an immediate click. They were both looking for a biologist to set up and lead scientific research into the effects of the treatment. I would also learn the method, reading the energy of trees and balancing forests at a distance. The challenge appealed to me! I resigned from my job at the Louis Bolk Institute in Driebergen and left for Germany to help with the development of resonance therapy.

I met Rijk Bols in 1990. In 1994 she came to work at the Institute for Resonance Therapy that had in the meantime been established by Irene and Marion. She had soon taken over Irene’s work. This primarily involved testing the projects and carrying out the balancing at a distance. We both left the IRT in 1998. In 2001 the Institute closed.

The Institute for Resonance Therapy was a tough learning experience for both of us. I travelled all over the place to visit projects and Rijk balanced them until she literally collapsed. There were projects in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Austria, Spain, England, Scotland, Czech Republic and Russia. In the beginning these projects involved “small” woods of 100 hectares, but this quickly increased to 20,000 ha in the UNESCO biosphere reserve Krivoklat in the Czech Republic, with the grand finale being 40,000 ha in the Niznesvirsky Reserve north of St. Petersburg. Michael Gorbatsjov was the client for the latter project. There were positive results nearly everywhere: personal reports of people generally doing better, but also volumes of hard, significant scientific proof of increased vitality.

Rijk and I both knew very well what could be achieved with balancing at a distance. Alongside the huge possibilities, we also knew very well how it shouldn’t be done. What we realized pretty soon was that the method worked fantastically, but at the cost of our own health. We also saw that the people on location were happy with the results but that at the end of the process no-one knew how to keep the energy aligned. There was no engagement and no personal responsibility.

I describe my learning and experiences with resonance therapy in the book “In Resonance with Nature”. It came out in 1999. The idea was to show people how you could positively energize your own work and living environments with a so-called energetic toolkit. This is where ECOintention came from. ECOintention is just as powerful as resonance therapy was - more powerful in fact, as the phase of “trial and error” is behind us. We now know exactly what we are doing and fortunately it doesn’t damage our health any more.

Working with energy at this level is no child’s play. It is wonderful but it demands significant inner development. That is why we always tell our trainees to “do more with less” and to balance with “consciousness, commitment and care”. Intuitive development is compulsory. It is simply the time for these great possibilities in people’s consciousness to emerge and for large numbers of people to be able to learn to heal at a large scale. The Earth desperately needs it. Our working and living environments could really do with it. And there is the fact that the Andeweg family is composed largely of educators and teachers – teaching is in my genes and I just really enjoy it!

Irene Lutz had very high ambitions. She was ultimately looking to heal the “organism Europe”. We also worked at that level. At that time an energetic analysis of Europe was carried out and based on that we started working on energetically important sites. The idea appealed to a lot of politicians. Including Gorbatsjov. This lead to the project in Russia.

If we learned anything it was that you can only realize your high ideals if you have both feet firmly on the ground. The trick is to “ground, ground, ground”. This is the reason that we started organizing workshops and courses, one step at a time, following the publication of In Resonance with Nature. After the first year, a second year followed, and gradually the four year ECOintention Practitioner vocational training emerged. We started small in 2000 balancing houses and small organizations. Once that was working well and we knew that we were ready for bigger work, we received requests to balance large areas of land in Scotland, England and Costa Rica.

Center for ECOintention has developed with the idea that if the tree is well grounded, branches and blossoms will come by themselves. There is now a vocational training that has already produced more than 100 ECOintention practitioners. They can all do something in this field: run a course, balance and coach a project. It is therefore possible to take on a lot of work and delegate it.

It is possible to heal both nature and culture at large scale. Anyone can do it. I described the principles in my most recent book The Universe Loves a Happy Ending. All you really need is attention and intention. We all have the potential to be great healers. There are many ways to heal. ECOintention is just one of them. It is quite probably the only method in the world that works at such a large scale with such a high level of impact. Which makes it all the more important to further develop the work with consciousness, commitment and care.

We live in a special time. There have never been so many people on this planet. Our living and working environments have never been under so much stress. The Earth is warming up very rapidly. Many of the natural regulating systems are imbalanced. On the other hand the possibilities for personal development and transformation have never been so great. If everyone let their inner light shine, then we would have an “enlightened” Earth. We hope to be able to make a small contribution with ECOintention.

Lalit had an inherent interest in the unseen patterns that link different fields of experience and it was here in Auroville that his yearning for integrality was reciprocated. He first came to Auroville in 1998 to study the alternative model of '''Auroville Economy'''. He was deeply influenced by the effect that Auroville’s Charter has on the people here and the active roles they play in giving form to this dream of Auroville.

Towards the end of 1998, he joined Auroville’s Town Planning office as a consultant. During this period, along with other team members, he worked on Auroville’s Perspective Master Plan. After being here for 2 years, it became evident to him that this was his home & he formally joined Auroville in 2001.

Coming from a conventional academic background, the encounter with Auroville initiated a transformative process of unlearning. His work as a planner helped him to develop insights about the dynamics of societal growth and the real-life challenges of collective organization. This experience also made him realize that planning, by definition and especially so in Auroville, embraces collectivization and necessitates a synthesis of diverse viewpoints. Inherently, planning is a field of intensive churning that requires a wide range of skill sets.

The experience of working with Roger Anger, and subsequently with B.V. Doshi, on the planning of Auroville helped him gain different perspectives & approaches in planning & developmental matters. He realized the relevance of an empowered and educated public participation and opted to channel his energy in creating awareness about Planning & allied activities. His facilitating work on '''Integral Sustainability Platform''' (ISP) was an initiative responding to this understanding. This gradually steered him towards the field of education and learning which led him to take steps towards developing '''the Auroville Integral Sustainability Institute (AISI)'''.

Auroville has given him an opportunity to experience a wholesome living environment with interconnectedness of self & society and helped evolve a holistic perspective of life, offering him a wide canvas to explore, to learn & to be. His work is guided by the desire to communicate the need and relevance of the Auroville model as an example of integral society. Mark Moore is an eco-social entrepreneur, creative media producer, artist, and writer with fifteen years experience in the nonprofit sector, including over a decade living and working internationally, and over twenty years of experience in the music industry, from composition to production to retail.

As president of the Earthville Network, Moore divides his time between Asia, Europe, and the US, launching and managing initiatives for sustainability, peace, and responsible global citizenship through service-learning, cross-cultural collaboration, and the arts.

In 1997, Moore cofounded the first Earthville project in the Indian Himalayas as the foundation stone of his vision for a global network of local initiatives for sustainable and compassionate living. He incorporated the Earthville Network in the US in 2000 and, over the next decade, forged an international constellation of a dozen projects across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the USA, united in the Earthville mission to cultivate local community initiatives contributing to a more compassionate and sustainable global village.

Currently, Moore’s focus is establishing the most ambitious Earthville project yet: an institute for sustainable village development and contemplative ecotourism in the Himalayas, with programs serving the Indian and international communities.

As a cultural creative, viewing creativity as one of humanity’s greatest resources, Moore continues to devote a portion of his time to his work as a music producer, recording artist, and designer, and he volunteers his production talents for Earthville’s nonprofit record label and documentary film projects. He also writes on sustainability, education, politics, and travel.

Moore earned a BA with dual majors in Political Studies (international focus) and Creative Production from Pitzer College in Claremont, California. Since then, he has continued both formal and informal studies of sustainable development issues, culture, philosophy, contemplative traditions of the world, and the vernacular architecture of the Himalayas. An insatiable explorer and "citizen of Earthville," he has traveled in over 50 countries, is conversant in several languages, and is an avid student of communication and collaboration in all its forms.

Mark Moore is available is available for interviews, consulting, and public speaking on diverse topics including the following: innovative models for charitable organizations, sustainable development and green living, experiential education and service-learning, peacemaking and cross-cultural collaboration. Jo supports various charities. In January 2009 she went to Bangladesh with the People Tree Foundation to support the production of ethical and fair-trade fashion, and in August 2010 she made the pilgrimage to the sacred Mount Kailash in Tibet with Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev writing features for National Geographic Green & Hello! Magazine. Jo also visited Sadhguru's Project GreenHands initiative in India which plants trees to help combat the devastating effects of climate change.

Jo has taken to the catwalk two years running for Naomi Campbell's ''Fashion for Relief'' in support of the White Ribbon Alliance.

In 2009 she worked alongside daughter Leah to promote 18 Degrees of Inspiration for climate change charity Global Cool. In the same year she also joined the 10:10 project, a movement that encourages people to reduce their carbon emissions.

In 2016 I said goodbye to my career in advertising and devoted myself to being of service to this world. A couple of years prior to that I experienced a burn-out at work that catapulted me into a, well, rather extraordinary path.

My unstoppable curiosity helped me expand my knowledge and awareness in entrepreneurship, consciousness, spirituality, healing, and all that has to do with becoming more of who I am and less of what I’ve been taught to be. In hindsight, the start of my “extraordinary” path started far before that with just curiosity for the seen and the unseen and my relentless passion to find meaning, eliminate fear, and feel true fulfillment in my heart.

I jumped into the unknown countless times; travels, careers, countries. Again, and again… and again. After years of working in marketing, life guided me into the field of coaching and consulting. Coaching hundreds of women worldwide to find their way back to themselves, slowly I transitioned in the entrepreneurial arena with a deep urge to use my creativity and writing skills. After years of designing my own websites, I started being asked to design for the women I consulted, growing into the branding and consultancy agency you can witness on this website. My mission is to help others do what they love and make the world a better place; one happy human at a time.

Amber Lily Solberg was born on January 18, 1997, near Los Angeles, California, to parents Eric Solberg and Maria Elena Baduria. She is half Norwegian and half Filipino. Solberg began singing at the age of 5, where she sang Christina Aguilera's song "Reflection" at her school's first grade talent show. Later on, at age 7, she starred in her first musical theater production. On August 8, 2008, she released her first full-length album, ''Amber Lily'', which contained 9 original songs, each co-written by Solberg and Simone Sello, who produced the entire album.[''non-primary source needed'']

Amber Lily was signed to Island Def Jam Digital Distribution in late 2010 or early 2011. With them she recorded her second album ''Coming to Life'', which was released on June 7, 2011. The album contains 13 original tracks, including the two singles from Radio Disney's "Next Big Thing": ''2 2 2 L8'' and ''Next To You.''

On August 7, 2011, she released a single, entitled ''Overloadin','' which was written by herself and Ben Charles. A music video was released on October 20, 2011, and was directed by DJ Cosgrove. The video includes cameos from So Random! stars Allisyn Ashley Arm and Audrey Whitby. The song has also been featured on Radio Disney. On March 3, 2012 Amber Lily debuted another new song, ''Don't Know What To Do.'' The music video was released on February 24, 2012. The song is currently playing on Radio Disney. She is also currently working on a second EP.

In 2012, she auditioned in San Francisco, California for the second season of The X Factor, singing Starships by Nicki Minaj. All four judges said yes. She made it through to the Bootcamp round, but was eliminated in the last round of it.

== Hi, I’m Bob Stilger and I founded New Stories in 2000. I now serve as President of NewStories. I created New Stories because I needed a new story. Before founding New Stories, I had spent 25 years as the co-founder and Executive Director of Northwest Regional Facilitators, one of the early community development corporations in the Northwest. We did some extraordinary work that changed people’s lives, but it was not leading to more healthy and resilient communities. I needed new stories about true community transformation. ==
My work at NRF was satisfying, but I felt a deep need to understand what might make enough of a difference to really make a difference. After I left NRF in 2000, over the next several years it grew into four separate organizations. NRF changed its name to Community Frameworks; our property management subsidiary corporation Spokane Housing Ventures became a separate corporation as did our nonprofit capacity building arm, Northwest Nonprofit Resources. Our Family Care Resources division became part of Spokane’s Community Minded Enterprises. All fine organizations doing important work today. But I needed to learn more about resilience and transformation.

In 2000 New Stories partnered with Meg Wheatley from The Berkana Institute and Christina Baldwin from PeerSpirit to launch a global leadership initiative called From the Four Directions. I started to come into relationship with the people I needed to learn from. I was drawn more and more into the web of Berkana and by 2004 took on the Co-Presidency of Berkana with Deborah Frieze, succeeding Meg. Our work with From the Four Directions connected the people who, during the first part of the century, went on to create Art of Hosting and the Berkana Exchange, a learning community of people and places around the world committed to building thriving resilient communities. Many of these dear friends and colleagues are now part of our New Stories Social Field.

I did extensive work with people in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Senegal, Greece, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Mexico, and Australia during this time, connecting them and learning with them about how to build healthy communities. I completed my doctoral dissertation at the California Institute of Integral Studies, learning with these wonderful people about how to create new movements for a new society. I saw them practicing what I’ve called Enspirited Leadership.

In 2010 my world shifted yet again when I was invited to introduce Art of Hosting to Japan. Japan had been a spiritual home since my student days there in the early seventies. For the last five years, it has been my main place of work. Japan’s triple disasters of earthquake, tsunami and nuclear radiation on March 11, 2011, created an irresistible call for me to stand with people in communities in the disaster region to help them create the future they wanted, rather than simply waiting for the government to recreate the past. It has been an extraordinary learning ground. Some of this work is described in a December 2013 article in Society of Organizational Learning’s Reflection’s Journal: Disaster as a Springboard for Resilient Communities. Eiji Press of Tokyo published my book ''When We Can’t See the Future, Where Do We Begin?'' in Japanese in June 2015. Mill City Books published ''AfterNow: When We Can’t See The Future, Where Do We Begin?'' in October 2017.

Human knowledge is doubling every 12.5 minutes. Two thirds of the jobs 10 years ago don’t exist now and two thirds of the jobs now won’t exist in 10 years. We are in a world of hyper complexity where small events everywhere can ricochet through the global system and have major effects everywhere in unpredictable ways. The coronavirus pandemic is an example of how interconnected and unstable the world is. How we redesign education and learning is a critical challenge because the emerging generation and learners everywhere need new mindsets, skillsets and toolsets to navigate an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world.

= Embracing Doughnut and Regenerative Economics as pathways to a Better Future =
COVID-19 has opened a unique opportunity for the adoption of new economies throughout the planet. There are clear signs that change is happening and we need to generate collaboration to promote the transition and the co-creation of a better future. In April 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, the Amsterdam City Council voted to embrace Doughnut economics to shape Amsterdam’s post pandemic future. In June, the city council of Copenhagen committed to turning into a Doughnut City - a good life for all within planetary boundaries. Dozens of other cities and towns worldwide have indicated they are also interested in embracing Doughnut economics. Additionally, there are a range of other economic models are emerging that are supporting regeneration of planet and people, all of which replace Gross Domestic Product and capital accumulation with human wellbeing as the central focus of policy and ecological systems and constraints as the framework for action. These commitments demonstrate very exciting and bold examples of leadership in how we can transform the crisis of the pandemic into an opportunity for human renewal.

Kate Raworth (sounds like ‘Ray-worth’) is a renegade economist focused on making economics fit for 21st century realities. She is the creator of the Doughnut of social and planetary boundaries, and co-founder of Doughnut Economics Action Lab.

Her internationally best-selling book ''Doughnut Economics: seven ways to think like a 21st century economist'' has been translated into over 20 languages and has been widely influential with diverse audiences, from the UN General Assembly to Pope Francis to Extinction Rebellion.

Kate is a Senior Associate at Oxford University’s Environmental Change Institute, where she teaches on the Masters in Environmental Change and Management. She is also Professor of Practice at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

Over the past 25 years, Kate’s career has taken her from working with micro-entrepreneurs in the villages of Zanzibar to co-authoring the Human Development Report for UNDP in New York, followed by a decade as Senior Researcher at Oxfam.

She holds a first class BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, and an MSc in Economics for Development, both from Oxford University. She is a member of the Club of Rome and currently serves on the World Health Organisation Council on the Economics of Health for All.

Kate has written extensively for media including ''The Guardian'', ''The New Statesman'', ''Newsweek.com'', and ''Wired.com'', and has contributed to many radio programmes including for BBC Radio 4, The World Service, ABC and NPR, as well as television including CNN World News, Al-Jazeera, BBC, ITV and CBC. ''The Guardian'' has named her as “one of the top ten tweeters on economic transformation”.

Bente Milton has written, directed and produced a large number of high profile documentaries. Her work has been distributed to more than 50 countries - and her films have been screened at some of the most prestigious film festivals around the world. Bente Milton’s personal track record includes 25 international awards and nominations – including Princes’ Award for the best documentary on Europe’s environment, Prix Italia – Granarolo Prize, IDA awards and the Danish Academy Award. In January 2012 Bente Milton founded Skandha Media, a company that specializes in transmedia production, including design and implementation of virtual spaces for community building and education.
